A Burning Issue

How freaking often does this happen in Washington DC? It seems like every few years there is a push to ban flag burning. The Supreme Court ruled against a flag burning law when I was fifteen, working my first job. I'm sorry but America is not the flag. Of course those that are so opposed to burning the flag may prefer this one. And that sort of scares me.

Oh my God man, doesn't anyone understand that the reason this country is in the shape it's in is because of stuff like this?

Not that flag per se but the whole seperation of church and state, church and country (or not so much in the United States of Jemerica) and the overwhelming argument of my god is bigger and tougher than your god?

Let's be honest here, the only reason the US is in the middle east at all is oil, plain an simple. Let's not try and pretend we are there under the guise of liberating or making things better for anyone. In most cases, regardless of what the media says, things there now are more effed up than they ever were.

It's not about doing the right thing, it's about $$$ and killing anyone who will not bow to the will of the US. In many ways the US is just as much at fault as the supposed despots they champion dethroning.

The whole thing makes me sick. Burn whatever flag you want. If the christian majority in this country is in favor of the present administration and its undertakings, I not positive but I think that JC and his dad would be the first to head up the US chapter of Christians Against Christ.

Seriously, The Crusades were wrong 900 years ago and they're still wrong today. Christians point the finger at Islam being a religion of violence and hatred. Show me how over a thousand years of persecution of non-christians is any different?

Kicks soapbox away. Sorry for the rant, I know it's been a while since I've commented on your blog but, that Christian American Flag just got me going. I do check in from time to time and like what your doing.

Peace on it,
JJ
